Brian R. Davis has been handling insurance coverage and tort or “bad faith” litigation for almost 30 years. He has extensive jury and bench trial, arbitration and mediation experience in state and federal courts throughout all of the states on the West Coast (Washington, California and Oregon). Prior to DKM Law Group, Brian gained his legal experience as a partner in law firms specializing in complex insurance coverage, tort disputes and civil litigation. Before becoming an attorney, he managed litigation and coverage claims at a national property and casualty insurer.

Brian is also outside counsel for a large commercial construction company in San Francisco handling their public and private entity contracts, claims, and litigation. In addition, Brian has a commercial real estate transactional and litigation practice that includes representation of brokers, landlords, and tenants.

Brian is an experienced trial lawyer, having tried cases in state and federal courts in California and Washington. In addition to his regular appearances in California and Washington courts, Brian has also been admitted pro hac vice in Oregon and Nevada. He has represented clients at oral arguments on appeal, including before the Ninth Circuit, the Washington State Court of Appeals, and the California Court of Appeal. 

Brian served the United States Marine Corps, stationed at Camp Pendleton, and later with the United States Marine Corps Reserve with a helicopter combat squadron stationed in Northern California.

In his time away from the office, Brian spends time with his daughter who attends the Stern School of Business at New York University. Recreationally, they like to attend Golden State Warriors’ and San Francisco Giants’ games, although now are attending Knicks and Nets games following his daughter’s move to New York.

Brian is a member of the Bar Association of San Francisco as well as the King County Bar Association in Seattle, Washington.
